Privacy Policy

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains what happens when you use PDFConverterAI's tools — including the files you upload, the information our servers collect automatically, the cookies we and our advertising partners use, and the choices available to you.

2. Files you upload or process

Most tools on this site process your file (a PDF, an image, or text you paste in) in order to produce a result — for example, merging PDFs or compressing an image. When a file is uploaded to our servers for processing:

• It is stored only in temporary storage for the duration of processing.
• It is automatically deleted from our servers within about an hour of upload, whether or not you download the result.
• We do not review, copy, back up, or retain uploaded files or their contents beyond that window.
• We do not use your files, or anything extracted from them, to train our own AI models. (Third-party services used by some tools are covered below.)

A few tools (the Password Generator, Password Strength Checker, Timestamp Converter and Case Converter) run entirely in your browser and never send your input to our servers. All other tools, including the unit converters and calculators, Word Counter and Text to Binary, send what you enter to our servers to produce the result.

Some tools send what you enter to a third party in order to produce a result:

• Grammar Checker sends the text you enter to LanguageTool (languagetool.org), a public grammar-checking service.
• Keyword Research, Content Idea Generator and Social Trend Analyzer send the text you enter to OpenRouter and the AI model providers it routes requests to.
• Tools that take a domain, IP address or URL (the web, network and SEO tools, and the video downloaders) contact that site or service on your behalf, and the WHOIS and IP lookups query public WHOIS/RDAP registries.

Those third parties handle that data under their own terms and privacy policies, so please do not enter anything you would not want processed by them.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers automatically log basic technical information when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use this for security, abuse prevention, debugging, and understanding overall site usage. We do not sell this information.

4. Accounts and job history

If you create an account, we store a minimal account record: your email address, your password (hashed, never in plain text), and basic sign-in security metadata such as failed login attempts. We do not store a profile or a history of your past tool results — records of the jobs you run are temporary and are removed along with your files (see section 2). We use a third-party email delivery provider to send account emails such as password resets. Account deletion is not currently self-service, and we do not yet have a documented process for deleting an individual account on request; we will update this section once one exists.

5. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for a few purposes:

• Essential cookies — a sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for up to seven days (or until you sign out), set only if you sign in to an account.
• Preferences— your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser's local storage on your own device.
• Advertising cookies — described in the section below.

We also measure overall page views and tool usage in aggregate, as daily counts per page. This does not use cookies and does not store information about individual visitors.

6. Advertising and personalized ads (Google AdSense)

This site is supported by advertising served through Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, and may use this data to show you personalized advertising, subject to the choices described below.

• You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or, if you are in the United States, by visiting aboutads.info/choices.
• Visitors in certain US states may be shown a message from Google offering the choice not to have their personal information sold or shared for advertising.
• If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Google's consent message, provided through its consent management platform, is shown to you. It asks for your consent to personalized advertising and content, advertising and content measurement, audience research and services development, and to storing and/or accessing information on your device, and it lists the partners involved. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the "Privacy & cookie settings" link in the site footer, where shown.
• Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your past visits to this site or other sites on the internet.

7. Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited data with service providers who help us run the site (such as hosting, advertising, email-delivery and AI-processing providers) and, where legally required, with authorities.

8. Your choices

You can control cookies through your browser settings, opt out of personalized ads using the links above, and change or withdraw your consent using the "Privacy & cookie settings" link in the site footer (where shown). See section 4 for the current status of account deletion.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
